Rodeo City Bar-B-Q is a family owned and operated business. We opened our doors in January of 1994. The original building was a two bay Mobile service station constructed in 1957. Through the years it was once a meat market and later a small deli restaurant. After sitting empty for six years, we decided that Ellensburg, home of the famous Ellensburg Rodeo needed some great tasting Bar-B-Q to complement its western heritage.
We are a family restaurant using many family recipes that we’ve enjoyed for years. You will often find four generations working together to serve you our finest selections.
We’re proud to offer authentic pit smoked Bar-B-Q as well as non Bar-B-Q lunches and dinners. We purchase top quality fresh meats, vegetables, fruits and other supplies. We do not add preservatives or artificial flavors to any of our finished products. Our homemade salads, breads, desserts, chili and beans are made daily and display consistency and good taste. Our two famous homemade Bar-B-Q sauces enhance both Bar-B-Q and non Bar-B-Q selections.
We are proud to note that Rodeo City Bar-B-Q has been recognized in Chili Pepper Magazine for “Top Bar-B-Q in the Country,” and in Sunset Magazine for a “Must try Restaurant” in Washington State.
We have expanded our business by adding two banquet rooms, catering, and event services. The banquet rooms are available for meetings, rehearsal dinners, wedding and anniversary celebrations, birthdays, family gatherings, office Christmas parties and class reunions. We also operate a mobile catering wagon that is available for off-site events, or deliver food for large parties.
So whether you’re in the mood for dine-in or take out, let us give you a special “Taste of the West at its Best.” Join our family and come on in for our western décor, Ellensburg hospitality, and genuine homemade cooking.
